Hiker makes his way through the curvy path at Bedni Bugyal on way to the mysterious lake – Roopkund Lake. Roopkund Trek/ Weekly Photo Challenge Curve

The above picture captures the curving trail at Bedni Bugyal, Uttarakhand, India. It falls on the route of famed Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra pilgrimage which takes place every 12 years and on Roopkund Trek trail as well!

Bedni Bugyal along with Ali Bugyal and Dayara Bugyal in the state of Uttarakhand, India are one of the finest and biggest meadows in Asia. Located above 10,000 Meter ASL, the surrounding views from Bedni Bugyal on a clear day are mind blowing. On one hand you get views of Trishul and Chaukhamba peaks, on the other amazing view of surrounding area.  The walk through the long and curvy trail which takes one to Ghora Lautani and Pathar Nauchani is rather a treat in itself. The silence and views are mesmerizing. If you are walking alone, it’s no less than a spiritual experience.
